For too long, residents and commuters of the South Coast of NSW have had a train system that is unreliable and infrequent. Investing in the South Coast rail system to improve the efficiency and frequency of services is a crucial step to reducing commute times and congestion.
Industrial demands have been put ahead of the residents and commuters needs as freight trains are prioritised over other rail services. Adding a passing loop is a bare minimum requirement for improving the efficiency and reliability of our rail system.
We urgently need better transport infrastructure to keep up with a rapidly growing population, and yet the NSW Labor government has failed to commit to investing in the necessary upgrades.

We the undersigned call on the NSW Labor government to commit to funding for an upgrade to the South Coast line, particularly between Kiama and Bomaderry, to be delivered by the next state election in 2027.
